If you look close you can see branches in the grill of the passing matatus, minibuses. Each Palm Sunday I have seen these and finally got a picture to share. Love such a visible reminder of the start to holy week.

Here is a glimpse of Taylor’s favorite foods at his favorite Ethiopian restaurant, Habesha. Habesha means Ethiopian/Eritrean. Needless to say that Taylor is extremely grateful to be back in Kenya again and right down the road from this fabulous restaurant.

On the way home from the market I came upon a scene of people all standing around an intersection. As I made my way through the crowd I was relieved to find they were only watching a crew of hard working men patching up the road. The group of twenty or thirty were working on two patches. If only I had the nerve to get a picture that captured the whole scene! I do have to say though, it looked like a really good patch job!

And Larson’s first word was…Baba! Taylor arrived home last Wednesday and to all of our surprise Larson yelled out, Baba! What a great way to celebrate his 15 month birthday!
And since they are just too cute, here are some bonus pictures of our adorable little ones.

Avery testing out Baba’s helmet.

Larson taking Baba for a spin on the piki piki.

Security is a big issue here in Nairobi. Most homes are protected by some type of fencing and all that can have a guard. That being said I love the fact that the sign on our front gate states that the security on our compound comes, “with martial arts”! It makes me smile every time we enter.
