Today I was inspired…
This morning I went to a friend’s shop where he’s set up his Sony Playstation 2 to rent on a per game basis. Others have set up ‘shop’ and are charging cell phones, renting hookas, and making chai & boon (tea & coffee). I was elated this time because the music wasn’t blaring so that I could actually sit and hear the young men speaking. I became even more excited when I noticed their conversation was religious in nature. It was hard to pick up almost anything as I’m not even 1% into the language yet, but I could make out that they were discussing Old Testament prophets. It was quite a argument, no heated words, but good sharing of differing insights. I SOOOOO wish I knew the language to jump in and explain … something … something other than Islam and muslim theology.
God is good. Jesus is grace. AMEN?!?!

We celebrated our 6th anniversary in style here in Malakal. Thanks to our great team mates and their creativity we celebrated in the style of the main tribe in the area. We also had the chance to hop on the motorbike and head into town for a lunch date while another team mate watched Avery for us. Such a treat!

Apologies are in order for our silence. More updates will be coming soon. Avery had round 2 of some sort of stomach bug. She is getting better and we are grateful for not having to clean up any more messes, for now. Thank you all for your prayers, we sure do need them!
