It’s Friday night. Most of our bags are packed and we’re headed to bed. Just wanted to send out a quick word that our cell phones will be off permanently starting tomorrow mid-morning. From now on, you can email or skype us. You can call a local number and it will call us on our skype phone line. It’s pretty cool. Call us any time at 214-556-5598 and you can also leave us a voice mail.

We will have a PO Box in Nairobi you can send mail to. We can also receive ‘care packages’ and can give you a shipping address on request for that.

What will God do next? That is the question of the day. Recently, a gentleman Allison and I met at Fellowship’s Harvest Festival a few weeks ago emailed us to inform us he (and his family) would be making a generous one-time donation. We expressed our great appreciation, similar to what you all have received from us in the past. Not a day later, he emailed us again to inform us he had decided to also donate on a monthly basis. Many of you are unaware of this, but we raised enough up-front funding so that we could supplement a deficit in our monthly giving (for our first term). Meaning, when we came home on our first home assignment/furlough, we would have to raise that much more money all over again. This is why we depend on monthly gifts to a great extent. All of that to say, that this gentleman’s monthly gift now covers that monthly deficit we were needing to make up.
God has done a wonderful thing only one day before we step onto the plane for Africa. We cried over this. We are amazed at God. His provision is True. Rarely does it come in the way we want it to or in the timing we want it to come. But He provides. God is good.

We are back in Dallas and had a great time of encouragement at church this morning. We were able to go up on stage and get prayed for and “sent” out from our home church, truly a blessing! Now we are getting busy trying to finish last minute errands, tie up any loose ends and get to packing. It is a surreal feeling that we are actually moving to Africa in less than a week. Please pray for extra energy and lots of patience with each other over the next few stressful days. And we have to say it one more time, thank you all for the many forms of your support over the last few years that have helped us get to this point! We so look forward to be able to report back to you what the Lord is doing around the world. It is such an honor to be one of those that gets to “go”.

What better way to celebrate than with another few hours in her home away from home, her car seat!

We’re off again on another road trip to say our goodbyes to more family. First, a quick stop at A&M to see Joey, a short-term missionary to Sudan last year. He and his new wife hope to go overseas after a little more education.

Tomorrow, we’re headed to Fredericksburg, TX and back home on Saturday, in time for our commissioning at Fellowship.

We just began our last road trip in the states for a few years! Tonight we will be in College Station and tomorrow will be Fredericksberg. On our way home we will stop in Austin. Please keep us in your prayers as we log more miles in our car and for Avery to not get tired of her car seat.
If you are nearby any of our stops please call or email us as we would love to see as many of you as we can!

November 9th marks the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.
Pray
- for God to protect his people from harm in nations that are hostile to the Gospel message.
- for those who are in prison to continue to hope in Christ and to be a courageous witness for him.
- for the governments that persecute Christians to change and allow religious freedom.
Read more about it and get ideas for specific prayer needs via IDOP’s web site.

We recently found out that SIM Sudan decided to spend the funds to purchase and install ‘vsat’ in 3 locations in Sudan. We’re sharing 450kbs/sec between the 3 locations (about 40 people). This is equivalent to about 1/3rd of what the average American is getting in their home. This costs SIM about $1000/month after the $10k hardware purchase for that internet access. Americans are paying about $30/month for their service that is 3x faster.
This internet access will be a HUGE tool for Taylor to use while on the field. Uploading video, maintaining SIM’s Sudan web site, sending newsletters, uploading photos and submitting stories to the US and International offices for publication.
AMEN!
PS. We can also skype with you! My user name is ‘taylor.martyn’
