New Sudan Video

I am desperately looking for media/production (equipment floater) insurance internationally including countries with US sanctions (Sudan). PLEASE HELP! Email me with any suggestions, references, etc. Thanks!!!
UPDATE: After a lot of research, calling friends and family in the insurance business, calling other film groups like Invisible Children, I have determined that it will not be possible to purchase property insurance for my equipment. The main hang-up is the fact that I’m going to Sudan. Just like how no one would write a life insurance policy for us, they will not insure anything. (PS. No worries, we knew a long time ago we wanted to do missions, so we set up life insurance way back and we’re good!) So we’re going to have to rely on prayer and healthy savings to cover the cost of replacement when stuff is stolen and/or damaged. The environment is harsh and all of our equipment will be put to the test on a daily basis. One example: Computers and video equipment are only supposed to be stored in temperatures up to around 105F. Their operating temp limit is around 95F. Well, we’ll often times be operating at the 105F level and storing above that. Hummm, maybe I should get Apple CARE…. Think there’s an Apple store in South Sudan?

Ahhh, it feels so good to be home and back in your own bed. Not to soon from now our beds will never be quite the same. What will it feel like, where will home be, how will it smell, will we be sharing a home… All of these things start going through my head as I re-evaluate what exactly ‘home’ is.
This weekend we’ll be taking part in our church’s, Fellowship Bible Church of Dallas, Fall Festival. They use the event to highlight the missionaries in town. Initially this was also to be the weekend we would be commissioned by the church, but this is no longer happening. It is likely it may not happen at all. If you were planning to come into town for our commissioning, just know that is no longer the case. We would still love to have you by our booth and hang around. We will be highlighted during an evening service called Metro.
We’re counting the days down to when we leave now. We’ll be in Tulsa and in S. Texas visiting with family and saying good byes. Will you pray for those times? We hope we can see you before we leave November 15th!

“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16).
